About Peeler Peelings
Genealogy in not an exacting science so please let me know if you see anything that isn't correct and I will make the corrections immediately. I have just started work on the web site (20 Dec 2006) and I have a very large file so it will take me some time to get it all entered as I am manually typing all this into it. What you see posted is a small fraction of my total file so if you do not see it here check with me for any information that I may have off line at epeeler3@tampabay.rr.com. This reseaech site is an on-going event, changing every day.

Please sign my Guest Book when you visit.

My Peeler family tree contains 10 generation of my Ancestors descending from Anthonius Anthony Beihler/Buller/Peeler who migrated form the Black Forrest Area in Germany. Early in the year 1738, Anthony Bieller left the German speaking area, referred to as Palatinate on the Rhine. Made his way down the Rhine to Rotterdam, and boarded the ship Robert and Alice for the trip to America. Walter Goodman was the Master and made a stop at Dover before proceeding to America.
The Ship arrived in Philadelphia on 11 Sept 1738 and the passengers--- 106 men, 53 women, took the Oath of Allegiance to "His Majesty King George II and his successors Kings" on the same day (PA Archives, Hassinburg PA, Ship Passenger Lists). Anthony is shown on the Master's or Captains list of passengers (List A) and also List B and C. See Pennsylvania German Pioneers for information on the different lists. Lists B and C also show an Ulrick Bullher, the spelling of his name on each of these Lists is different, indicating that at least one, probably both, were written by Clerks. Ulrich did not appear on the Captain's list. He may have been under 16 years of age, or it could be that he was ill the day the Captain's list was made. Since as Ulrich's name appears later in NC associated with Anthony he may have been a son of Anthony but there is no definite proof of this. It is highly probable that Anthony was accompanied by a wife and child or children, or that some of their children arrived on other ships.
The family remained in Lancester County, PA for a number of years (I think 10)as they were found in the data of NC in 1751) before
most migrated to North Carolina. From there they spread out to SC,GA,TN,Il and most of the other states in America
My maternal line is the Holbert Family. My mother was Violet Marie Holbert, daughter of Horatio Seymour and Lillie Mae Edney Holbert. Seymour's parents were Joseph and Mary Newman Holbert, Joseph's parents were Benjamin and Charity Stover Holbert, Benjamin's parents were John and Sarah Steel/Steele. John was born 1765 in Amherst County, VA and migrated sometime about 1800 to Rutherford County, NC. John and Sarah had at least 8 children. There are some very interesting allied families to our Holbert family. There were officers who were in the British Military in the Revolution War, and two brothers who migrated from Pasquotant County, NC to western North Carolina and had a very large impact in the formation of Henderson county. One brought Methodistism to Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee, the other who was a member of a committie in the formation of Hendersonville, North Carolina. Just receintly (November 2007)I have made contact with some of my mothers (Violet Marie) oldest sister (Edith Susan) We have been seperated for years for one reason or the other and I knew so little about that family. Edith married Troy Leroy Justus, and we have been enjoying each others compainship. They have sent me some photos and I have made a new photo Albumn named the Justus Family. Looking forward to them sending me more at a later time. Some of my older photos are not of the best qualitity. Many were not in good condition originally and everytime they were moved, they lost a little bit of qualitity. I have included them so that you may get a idea of how the person looked despite the poor image qualitity.
